A dietitian is client centered, research base and accredited with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO).
A Registered Dietitian (RD) will:
- have a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition
- have completed a year internship with an accredited hospital
- have written the accredited exam with CDO
- is qualified to work in interdisciplinary teams with doctors, dieticians, psychologists and exercise physiologists
Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, so be aware of credentials.

We work as a team with your family doctor or other specialists to help you manage your condition.
You receive a full package, catered to your needs.
You will have a customized nutrition plan, just for you.
Your plan may include recipe & meal planning, psychology of eating and mindful eating coaching, nutrition label reading skills, detailed meal plans, education and support on symptom management and prevention on a disease state.

Travelling to appointments can be time consuming.
In person nutritional counselling is a great option. So is phone or Skype counselling.
You can choose to have your initial session in person, then switch to phone or Skype, or do everything from a distance (or in person) from day one. Either way, we will email or mail you supportive info after each appointment.
Saving travel time to appointments can be applied to cooking, meal planning, exercise, self care, play and fun.

We work very closely with family doctors, gastroenterologists, and specialists for all our clients.
Yes, Registered Dietitian services are covered by some insurance companies. It all depends on which provider and plan your human resources has chosen. Speak with your HR in your company, or with your benefits provider directly to determine what you are covered for.
We also accept credit card and e-transfer payments.
